Super WiFi in white areas

ARCEP authorized operator to perform Infosat Telecom testing wireless internet access in rural areas in Seine-Maritime. The objective of these tests is to successfully provide internet access in underserved areas.
ARCEP has given its approval to test the technology "Super WiFi" in white areas in Seine-Maritime . This technology is based on the use of channels not occupied by UHF (490-790 MHz) dedicated to DTT (Digital Television). This is the company InfoSat Telecomwhich has the authorization to deploy Super WiFi in underserved rural areas in wired ADSL internet.Frequencies 580-598 MHz will be used and the experiment should last a year. The tests will assess the possible interference with the frequencies of TNT.
WiFi technology is based on the same principle as the reception of satellite data and enable the transport of high speed data over a distance of up to 160 km It also enables a strong penetration of waves through natural obstacles (forest, relief mountain ...). Super WiFi has already been deployed in the United States through initiatives of Microsoft and Google , who wish to develop the land at a low cost. Technology is used particularly on university campuses.
