SAMSUNG ANNOUNCED THAT IT HAS SOLD 38 MILLION GALAXY NOTE

The phablettes more than a fad? Samsung has always been alone in this segment, at its beginning, was simply no name. A neologism - validated by Collins in Britain - later, phablette saw its heyday, driven in particular by the Galaxy Note range of Korean.

The CEO of Samsung, JK Shin, announced as evidence at IFA Berlin: " 1 and the Galaxy NoteGalaxy Note 2 have been sold to the tune of more than 38 million copies. We believe that the Galaxy Note 3 will do better than its predecessors . " Without exceeding the complex 5, but up to 6 inches, it shows the passage of a cap in terms of usage patterns. Two years ago, we recall that a diagonal of 4.3 inches seemed huge, and Apple expected last year to move to a single 4-inch (iPhone 5)! With 38 million sales, it is obviously still far from the 20 million units of Galaxy S4 delivered in three months at its output , but the numbers are more than satisfactory for Samsung.

You do not change a formula that works with the Galaxy Note 3 , provided more applications, and always accompanied by an embedded body phablette stylus, all aimed at both professionals seeking the comfort of a device that can used for taking notes or writing messages, but also to fans of multimedia. But evidence that a segment is created from scratch, it is not just the numbers that much flatter the phablette whose big screen is supported by an interactive stylus (S Pen) as well as a suite adapted but the market transformation.
Can not be attributed to Samsung the current movement which tends to enlarge the screens of Smartphones, but we find that most brands are going into phablettesEven Nokia should succumb , while in the world of Android, manufacturers, even positioned at entry level, have embarked on the adventure we think with the Alcatel One Touch Hero (6 inches) or with Acer its Liquid S2 (6 inches) and even its Liquid S1 (5.7 inches), the Sony Xperia Z Ultra (6.4 inches) and a future HTC One Max that would position on this market. Although most users prefer not exceed a diagonal of 5 inches, it is clear that the demand is there, and that the offer below. Or vice versa.
