Bic Tab: slate High-Tech for school children


After a foray into the mobile market with the BIC Phone, BIC accounts now launch a tablet for education in primary schools. The company known for its pens and razors wishes to take advantage of the boom in e-learning.

After launching the slate Velleda, BIC launched, this time a slate High-Tech, BIC Tab,
avant-garde vision of education. This tablet has been entirely conceived and designed in France and is the result of collaboration with Intel. This tablet will use the solution BIC Education, through which it is possible to share documents between teachers and pupils of primary and access to educational applications. BIC Tab is designed to improve interactivity with solutions offered by new technologies. It helps strengthen the pedagogy of teacher to monitor the students' progress and thus to simplify the development of custom programs.

BIC Tab tablet has a screen of 10.1 "and is designed with a shock-absorbent shell. It is associated with an ergonomic pen, specially designed for small hands écoliers.L device running Linux and equipped an Intel Atom processor. Ultimately, BIC launch a site designed to provide additional teaching resources to students. Three bids will be proposed by BIC (6, 15 or 30 tablets) at prices ranging between 6000 and 30 000 . Bic Offer includes Tab, a wardrobe and reloading the software Bic Connect a computer to the teacher, each server and full service support team including educational training taking hand. It only remains to convince municipalities to invest 6000-30000 euros in this innovative solution for the education of students in the future.
